After our cheerful morning huddle, it’s time for a little adventure! We’ll zip out from vibrant Chiang Mai and dash over to the stunning Doi Inthanon National Park. Our first magical pit stop? The breathtaking Wachirathan Waterfall, where we’ll refresh and rejuvenate amidst nature’s splendor!
After we embark on a magical journey up the twisty mountain road to the king of all peaks in Thailand – Doi Inthanon! Standing tall at a whopping 2565 meters, this majestic spot is playfully nicknamed the Roof of Siam and cozies up to the foot of the Himalayas.
After we zoom down from the towering heights of Doi Inthanon! We’re off on a lovely ride along a winding, twisty road that will lead us to a delicious lunch stop – and boy, do we deserve it after that climb! After refueling, we’ll hop back on our bikes and cruise through patchwork farmland before tackling more thrilling twisty mountain roads. Our afternoon awaits cruising in a magical pine forest!
Finally, we then head to our overnight stop in Mae Sariang where we will have a great evening meal, a pint or two and a natter about the days events!
Get ready for a riding day that’s going to make your heart race and your spirits soar! We’re talking curves so fabulous, you’ll feel like you’re dancing on wheels! And don’t forget those sneaky little mountain roads – they’re packed with views so breathtaking, you might just start singing to the scenery! Let’s hit the road and have a blast!
Lunch on the river at Khum Yuam, where we’ll fuel up before diving into the intriguing stories of a Japanese WW2 museum that highlights how this little town played a big role in history! After our delicious meal, we’ll zip along a twisty-turny road that takes us to the breathtaking viewpoint of Pha Bong, where you’ll feel on top of the world as you gaze down at the stunning gorge below. Then we ride our way to our cozy overnight stop in the charming Shan town of Mae Hong Son, a hidden gem cradled in a valley and surrounded by majestic mountains.
Get ready for some eye-popping views from a super cool lookout spot that gives you a front-row seat to this charming little town! The sun dropping behind the awe-inspiring Himalayan mountains, with Myanmar/Burma waving hello in the distance. One of our favorite restaurants in all of Thailand awaits.
Today is full of unforgettable sight-seeing and experiences and spectacular riding.
After breakfast we ride to the Pai River where we hop on a small boat and travel up this jungle river to visit the long neck Karen tribe. This excursion looks like it’s out of a National Geographic Magazine and a trip you will never forget.
After this visit and the return boat trip we ride high up into the mountains to an historical Chinese village on the Myanmar/Burmese border. There we stop for lunch before riding high mountain passes with magnificent viewpoints to our overnight stay in the township of Pai, a vibrant Hippy location nestled in the hills.
With an extra day you will have time to enjoy the wonderful roads and local scenery in this incredibly special place.
